Wish I had an answer.

But, a "Cadillac dealer" can't find the answer to this problem? Is that what you're saying? Or just any dealer. Hard to believe thru diagnostics this can't be remedied as the car is only 4 years. Have you tried the Cadillac Owners forum. This forum is a dead zone.

I just looked at an '05 CTS-V today that had the same problem. It started up several times just fine, let it sit for 15 minutes while inside dealership, came out and the battery was dead. Hooked a jump box to it and it cranked right up. I bought a '92 Corvette a few years back that did the same thing. I never could find out what was wrong with it. Last report is the car is sitting in a garage in town with the dash torn out of it, hasn't been driven in 3 years that I know of. This dealer told me all the newer cars are like this. They need to be started every couple of days. I'm in trouble, my car only gets driven about once a month.

This is probably a dumb question, but is the alternator in good working order? By getting a new battery and still having the problem makes me think it's a malfunctioning alternator, or wiring therein.

Also, who did you talk to at the dealership? I have yet to encounter a car salesperson that knows anything technical about cars, they just know sales. If a tech couldn't figure it out, let me know which dealer it was so I can avoid it!

Good luck!
