View Full Version : Cadillac Steps Away From GM???
http://krutie-tachki.ru/cnnew/data/upimages/cadillac_logo.jpgSo apparently Cadillac believes that the association with GM is dragging them down. The solution?? Step away from GM so as to not be under GM's cloud of bankruptcy and doubt in quality.“Cadillac, which has really turned itself around with new levels of quality and exemplary products, doesn’t want to be associated with something that will drag it down,” said John Grace, president of marketing consultant BrandTaxi LLC. “With GM’s bankruptcy comes lower credibility in the ability to build quality products.”Will this help Cadillac pick up sales?? Will this break Cadillac?? What do you think??Source: egmcartech

Great idea! Just would want service levels and MFG qualities to remain the utmost of importance.
At the end of the day, making a profit and returning on investment to shareholders is always going to be the driver.
To do so, you must never lose sight of what you do best...Making a great product better, day in and day out and for the long term. To do that, you have to have a committed team of people moving in the same direction.
Labor unions, were "maybe" of value in the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's are now antiquated. All they do is breed complacency, apathy and low morale. They do nothing to inspire and empower. They are parasitic to creative ideas and doing the right thing.
Instead performance oriented rewards paid by the company/management for such things as perfect attendance and new idea generation for saving money and adding value to the company goes far to that end and ultimately the consumer wins.
Unlike The Field of Dreams of "build it, they will come".
Instead, "if you build it right and tight, they will come"
